The Military and Political Prospects of ISKP: Military Strategy, Tactics, and Future

On November 16, 2021, Colin P. Clarke, Senior Research Fellow at The Soufan Center, participated in an online event ‘The Military and Political Prospects of ISKP: Military Strategy, Tactics, and Future.’ Hosted by the Institute of War and Peace Studies, a non-profit think tank based in Kabul, the online event explored the security landscape in Afghanistan following the withdrawal of the United States. In his keynote remarks, Dr. Clarke discussed the evolution of IS-K, the group’s overall strategy, and the United States’ ability to counter the group following the withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan.
