TSC Experts Brief EU Counterterror Working Group

On January 18, 2023, several of The Soufan Center’s experts briefed European Union (EU) counter-terrorism stakeholders. Speaking at the first meeting of the EU Working Group on Counter-Terrorism (COTER) under the Swedish Presidency, TSC Executive Director Naureen Chowdhury Fink, Senior Research Fellow Colin P. Clarke, and Research Fellow Mollie Saltskog briefed attendees on far-right and far-left terrorism. Their briefing highlighted the evolution of the threat, implications for Europe, and challenges and opportunities for policy responses and international cooperation.
