On December 2, 2021, Colin P. Clarke, Senior Research Fellow at The Soufan Center, participated in an event ‘Those Darkest Hours: The Future of American Security’ hosted by the Thomson Reuters Institute. Dr. Clarke moderated a panel discission ‘Dark Horizons: Managing Social Media, Disinformation & Nation-State Actors’ which discussed the myriad security challenges emanating from the modern-day social media ecosystem. Panelists included Nina Jankowicz, of The Wilson Center, Brian Murphy, Former Acting Under Secretary at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Faiza Patel, of the Brennan Center, and Clint Watts, of Miburo Solutions.
