The Soufan Center Webinar: “A Way Forward With Iran? A Roundtable Discussion on Crafting a U.S. Strategy”

On March 17, 2021, The Soufan Center hosted a virtual roundtable discussion focused on a path forward for the United States and Iran to resume diplomatic engagement on the nuclear agreement. Reflecting on TSC’s recent report ‘A Way Forward with Iran? Options for Crafting a U.S. Strategy’, panelists discussed the history of the U.S.-Iran relationship, as well as potential complications and enabling steps for both sides to return to negotiations. With introductory remarks by Naureen Chowdhury Fink, Executive Director of The Soufan Center (TSC), the panel included Kenneth Katzman, Iran Expert and Contributor to the TSC Report on Iran; Joyce Karam, Senior Correspondent for The National newspaper and Adjunct Professor at George Washington University; and Jason Blazakis, Senior Research Fellow at The Soufan Center.
