Program Officer
Michaela Millender
Michaela Millender is the Program Officer at The Soufan Center. She has experience in research, data analysis, and project management, with a research focus on humanitarian access, refugee resettlement, and the United Nations.
Prior to joining The Soufan Center, Michaela served as a research analyst at the Global Disinformation Index, as well as for the United Nation’s UN75 Initiative which produced the report UN75: The Future We Want, the UN We Need. She also spent several years working in the non-profit sector where she provided support in grant management, donor relations, event coordination, and leadership development.
Michaela was awarded a Master of Science in Global Affairs from New York University’s Center for Global Affairs, with a concentration in international development and humanitarian assistance and specializations in the United Nations and data analytics. She also attended the University of Oklahoma’s College of International Studies and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in International and Area Studies with a minor in Italian language.
