Combating Youth Radicalization

Global observers, including in several Western countries, have witnessed a marked rise in acts of extreme violence committed by younger perpetrators. Reflecting on this alarming global trend, the Issue Brief seeks to understand the drivers of youth-led violent extremism while also outlining policy solutions for those responding to this rise in violence. The report examines the leading dynamics shaping youth radicalization today and offers a series of measures states can consider going forward.
