Ali Soufan, Founder of The Soufan Center, participated in a virtual public event entitled ‘Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Arabia: A Critical Look.’ Taking place on October 1, 2020, the event was organized by the Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED) and aligned with the second anniversary of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and as Saudi Arabia prepared to host the G20 Summit. The event brought together experts for a critical look at Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Arabia and discussed the kingdom’s long-term stability and suitability as an international partner of the United States. Mr. Soufan participated in a panel entitled ‘The Crown Prince’s Foreign Policy: Assessing Saudi Arabia’s Shifting Role Abroad.’
