Colin P. Clarke, Senior Research Fellow, spoke in a virtual panel on “ISIS during the COVID Pandemic: A resurgence?” alongside fellow panelist Pieter van Ostaeyen, an independent researcher. Taking place on October 20, 2020, the virtual event was hosted by the JASON Institute in the Netherlands. The event covered the status-quo of the so-called Islamic State in the Middle East and their increasing presence in Africa, as well as the effect of COVID-19 on the Islamic State as an organization.
