Global Center’s Counterterrorism Retreat

From May 25 – 27, 2022, the Global Center on Cooperative Security hosted a retreat at the Greentree conference center in New York as a mid-term stock-take of implementing the UN Global Counterterrorism Strategy and to gather input from key stakeholders on ways to improve the process and outcomes in the future. TSC Executive Director participated in the three-day workshop with around 30 participants. The retreat additionally incorporated broader discussions around civil society engagement, mainstreaming of human rights and gender, and the negative impacts of counterterrorism measures on civic space.
