Administrative Measures, Human Rights, and Democracy in Turbulent Times

On May 9, 2024, TSC Senior Research Fellow Colin P. Clarke participated in an event ‘Administrative Measures, Human Rights, and Democracy in Turbulent Times’ hosted by the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT). The virtual briefing discussed renewed caution in using administrative measures as counter-terrorism strategy. “I think that we’re entering a pretty dark place, in my opinion, if we get to an area where terrorism itself is politicized,” said Dr. Clarke in the discussion.
